Zoeller Sump pump

Sump pumps are extremely important for averting water disasters in your basement. With Missouri’s unpredictable weather, your basement might be one downpour away from a flood. This situation is entirely preventable with a sump pump. Sump pumps are designed to automatically remove water from your basement in the event of a flood.

It’s important that sump pumps are properly installed and are the correct size to displace the water. Larson Heating, Air and Plumbing can install or repair a sump pump for you and make sure your home is safe from disaster.

Normal sump pump repairs:

Has your sump pump quit working? Larson can figure out why and repair it or replace it. Many sump pumps stop working because:

• They’re the wrong size. If the pump is too small, it will place too much strain on the unit and eventually quit. If the sump pump is too large, it will constantly cycle on and off, wearing the unit out.

• Not properly maintained. It’s important to maintain a sump pump and check for clogs that stop water flow. Loss of water flow causes overheating, which in turn breaks the unit.

• The discharge isn’t designed correctly. The discharge system, which is a series of pipes connected to the sump pump to drain flood water, can cause the sump pump’s motor to burn out if not properly routed. It’s important to make sure the flow of the water is correct to prevent future disasters.
